The Beauty of Ancient City Chiang Mai, Thailand

Chiang Mai usually called Chiengmai and have a nickname "Roses of Thailand", this city is number two of the biggest town in Thailand and also in north Thailand. 
Chiang Mai is located about 700 kilometers northwest of Bangkok between mountain that formed north area Thailand. Chiang Mai also capital town from Chiang Mai province.

It is called Thailand roses because there are a lot of city garden at every corners of the city, it is decorate with beautiful flowers include roses of course.
It is peaceful and comfortable atmosphere here, we will not hear noise from car horns, car found milling about without direction and collided fast. They give space for pedestrians to cross first.

Chiang Mai is pedestrians town. Most of tourist enjoying beautiful central town go on foot. Pedestrians likes Rachadamnoen road, Thapae road, and Klan road is central road for enjoying Chiang Mai friendliness. So this places very suitable for relaxing from bustle and noise of the big city.

  • The Ancient City of Chiang Mai

This place is the oldest area from capital town of Chiang Mai province. This place surrounded with trench and red fort. The trench of this city had water filtration system for maintain trench water hygiene.
Inside the old town, you can find every kind of temples, old houses, museum, little cafe and ancient streets. You can go for enjoying this old town with walking  or spends your money for rent bicycle about 30-50 Baht per day.



  • Phrathat Doi Suthep Temple

The famous temple in Chiang Mai is located in height on the hills northwest of the city. This temple was built in 1383, this temple is famous with white elephant legend had wall that layered with gold must became your tourism object for visited.



  • Wat Chedi Luang Temple

Wat Chedi Luang is the most impressive temple in Chiang Mai. It built about 600 years ago with Lanna architecture. But in 1545 this temple shaken by earthquake and 30 meters of the top of this main temple is destroyed.



Wat Chedi Luang is also important because this place became the most important object storage in Thailand is Emerald Buddha. The original Emerald Buddha are stored at temple in Bangkok now, but several years ago this replica statue of Buddha was donated by king to be placed at niches east of temple.



  • Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden

This garden is one of  agriculture research in Thailand, that routinely researched every his plants collection. It is divided into some different zone with a thousand flora collection from around the world.



  • Maesa Valley and Baan Tong Luang Village

This Maesa valley is the biggest elephant training camp in north Thailand. You can learn more about the biggest mammals in this world and its role in Thailand community life.



Baan Tong Luang Village is located near from Maesa Valley, this culture village is nearest places to see mountain community life, Karen women that wearing copper neklace or beautiful handicraft from Lahu community that all you can see here.






  • Doi Suthep Zoo Night Safari

Enjoying your journey to the biggest zoo in Thailand at night. When most of the occupants activity happened at night, from African hippo until Wallaby from Australia.You can enjoying all using electric trains are safe for this activities.



  • Night Bazaar of Chiang Mai

This place located at Chang Khlan street, it is spreading one block until Charoenphratet street. It opened from 6 pm until midnight. This Night Bazaar of Chiang Mai is called as one of the excited, the biggest and very colourful market in Thailand.

Chiang Mai Night Bazaar most visited places by tourist for every day at night, is about 5000 local and foreign tourist here. Night Bazaar consists of three groups market namely Night Bazaar shopping that sell handicraft, decoration and painting. 
Anusarn Market that located at open air street selling a variety of goods combination shaded by large umbrellas of different colors, while Kalare Market selling foods and snack center that completed with stage art of traditional dance Thailand. 




  • Walking Street of Chiang Mai

It is located on Chiang Mai Old City also called Sunday Walking Street along Ratchadamnoen Street. Sunday Walking Street only opened on Sunday from 5 pm until 2 o'clock at night. 

Ratchadamnoen Street is long about 2,5 kilometers, stretched from Wat Phasingh until Tapae Gate, a great wall at south side as part of wall that surrounding the Old city. Along this street various goods sold here from handicraft, painting, merchandise, clothes, foods, and variety of needs. From terms of service like face painting, massage, culture art show.
